JFK Founder Named Outstanding Young Philanthropist
Jukes gratefully accepted this honor alongside other recipients such as Peyton and Ashley Manning and the Ruth Lilly Philanthropic Foundation as they were recognized at the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Indiana Chapter’s Philanthropy Awards Dinner November 18.
“Avery proved himself as a leader during his undergraduate career at Butler,” said Dr. Bobby Fong, President of Butler University. “Avery’s mature vision and drive to address the underlying roots of [education and poverty-related] issues mark him as a leader who can influence others and make a profound difference in our world.”
Jukes is truly thankful for this award, as well as the opportunities it provides to spread the word about JFK’s mission. “I want to continue fundraising and building awareness for the cause,” he says. “This is an incredible honor, and I really appreciate all the people and groups that have helped us support these kids so far. I just hope that this recognition will encourage even more people to become involved with what we are doing.”
It’s this passion for and commitment to helping others that have earned Avery Jukes the 2010 Outstanding Young Adult Award. And, with your help, JFK will continue to brighten the futures of children in Indianapolis and Uganda.
