On January, 24th 2009 JFK hosted it's first event. The "Bookin' with the Bulldogs" book drive was a great success. JFK working along side the Butler University sports marketing department , managed to collect over 2000 books. The community donated new and used childrens books. The books from the drive will be personally delivered by Avery when he visits Uganda in the summer of 2009. The books will stock the library of the school that Avery helped build in the summer of 2008, The Building Tomorrow Academy of Kiyamba. It's a village school located roughly 55 miles from the capital city of Kampala.
