Our Cause

Africa

The Jukes Foundation for Kids is dedicated to providing assistance to countless Ugandan students who are led towards a failed education due to inadequate learning supplies, poverty, and lack of schools in the region.

While the primary educational phase is funded by the Ugandan government and are free, access to the secondary level and beyond are not. It is at this point where the majority of young scholars are denied the opportunity of reaching their full potential.

Primary schooling in Uganda (the equivalent of grades K - 6 in the United States) is free thanks to government funding. However, access to education at the secondary level and beyond is not. It is at this point where the majority of young scholars are denied the opportunity of reaching their full potential. Only 12% of students ever make it to the Secondary level, and of that number only 3% of the population continues on to higher education programs.

The mission of the Jukes Foundation for Kids is to provide financial support for the children of Uganda to continue their education into secondary schools and to provide a foundation for them as they pursue their dreams.

In addition to providing scholarships, the foundation also sends books, school supplies, and valuable learning tools to help promote academics and inspire the youth of Uganda through continued education.

Indianapolis

JFK initiates volunteer programs and neighborhood projects within Indianapolis to help encourage students to become more involved with improving society. While encouraging the more fortunate to give back to the community, JFK works to keep the underprivileged youth of Indianapolis off the street by giving children positive role models to look up to. The Jukes Foundation for Kids aims to be the change for those who often never get a chance.
