jukesheadshotAvery Jukes, Founder & President

A Georgia native, Jukes attends Butler University in Indianapolis and plans to receive his B.A. in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics in 2011. Inspired by his volunteer trip to Uganda in the summer of 2008, Avery Jukes now devotes his time off the basketball court to help children in need. He founded the Jukes Foundation for Kids to serve his mission by collecting educational resources, clothing, food, and helping raise funds that will provide financial aid for the education of the youth.

In addition to operating Jukes Foundation for Kids and continuing his education, Avery is also a standout player for the Butler Bulldog basketball team. Jukes' experiences as a student-athlete has allowed him to travel to many places, but no place has yet to inspire him like his trip to Uganda. Last year Jukes helped build a new primary school with seven classrooms, a headmaster's office and a library. Every year, Jukes plans to visit Uganda and continue providing hands-on humanitarian services.

Avery Jukes was also recently recognized by the association of Fundraising Professional AFT as the "Outstanding Young Adult" of 2010
